This policy covers the branded recipe mobile apps published by Creative Athletes LLC ("we," "us") using the RecipeRM platform (the "apps"). Each app presents recipes and related content from a single food or appliance brand (the "brand"). This policy applies to every app we publish this way, on both Google Play and the Apple App Store.
The short version: the apps have no accounts and ask for no personal information. The little the apps do send us is described, completely, below.
1. No accounts, no personal information
The apps do not have user accounts. There is nothing to sign up for, no login, and no registration. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or any other personal information.
2. Favorites stay on your device
If you mark recipes as favorites, that list is stored only on your device. It contains only the saved recipes themselves; no account or device identifier is attached to it. It is never transmitted to us, to the brand, or to anyone else, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app.
3. Usage statistics
The apps report which recipe pages are viewed and how often. Each view is sent with a short-lived random session identifier, generated on your device and reset after 30 minutes of inactivity, so repeat views can be counted once. It is not derived from you or your device and is not linked to any personal information.
Like any internet service, our servers receive your device's IP address and browser type when the app loads content. We use them only transiently, for security, bot filtering, and rate limiting, through a hashed key that changes daily, and we do not store them. What we keep about each view is: the recipe, the country edition, the date and time, a coarse device class (phone, tablet, or desktop), the in-app page you came from, and the session identifier.
We use these statistics to understand which recipes and content are popular, and we share them with the brand as aggregate view counts in the brand's dashboard. No individual-level data is shared.
4. Ratings
If you rate a recipe, the app sends the star rating along with a random identifier stored on your device. The identifier exists so that the same device can change its rating later: the new vote replaces the old one instead of counting twice. It is not linked to your name or any other personal information, and it is removed from your device when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
5. Recipe content comes from the brand
The recipes, images, and other content shown in an app are supplied by the brand whose app it is. The app displays that brand's recipe storefront; questions about the content itself are best directed to the brand.
6. No advertising, no tracking
The apps contain no third-party advertising. We do not use tracking technologies, advertising networks, or data brokers, and we have no personal information to sell or share.
7. Children
The apps are general-audience apps about recipes and cooking. They are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. As described above, the apps have no accounts and ask for no personal information from anyone.
8. How this relates to our other policies
The apps are free consumer apps. The RecipeRM Terms of Service and Privacy Policy govern something different: the RecipeRM platform and websites, the business service that brands and their authorized administrators use to manage and publish recipe content. Requirements in those documents aimed at platform users (for example, that authorized users be adults) apply to the brand's administrators, not to people browsing recipes in an app. If you are using one of the apps, this policy is the one that applies to you.
9. Changes
If the apps ever change what they collect, we will update this policy here with a new effective date before the change takes effect.
10. Contact
The apps are operated by Creative Athletes LLC, the maker of RecipeRM.
